Asking and Giving Opinion Kelas XI beserta Contoh Teksnya - Pada kehidupan sehari-hari kita pasti pernah memiliki opini pada sesuatu yang kita lihat, dengar, maupun rasakan. Entah opini itu mendukung atau bertentangan satu dengan yang lainnya. Opini merupakan sebuah teks atau dialog yang mengandung pendapat tentang suatu hal, Biasanya opini satu sama lain itu berbeda atau bertentangan, tergantung pada sudut pandang mana kita memihak. Ketika kita memberikan atau mengekspresikan opini kita, penting sekali untuk memberikan alasannya untuk mendukung opini itu sendiri. Kata kerja yang biasanya digunakan dalam opini adalah agree (setuju), believe (percaya), reckon (memperhitungkan), doubt (meragukan), assume (berasumsi), don't agree (tidak setuju), think (rasa/pikir).

A. BROKEN COMPUTER

 

Dialogue 1

 

X: I need a help with my computer.

 

Y: What’s going on with your computer?

 

X: I think it’s broken. I tried turning it on but it didn’t seem to work.

 

Y: Let me see it. The reboot process is failed. Have you brought it to a service center?

 

X: No, I’ve just found it out this morning. Is it a serious problem?

 

Y: I’m not sure. Why don’t you bring it to a service center first as we can’t figure it out easily.

 

X: Yeah, you’re right.

 

Terjemahan

 

X: Aku butuh bantuan dengan komputerku.

 

Y: Apa yang terjadi pada komputermu?

 

X: Kelihatannya komputerku rusak. Aku mencoba menyalakannya tapi sepertinya tidak berhasil.

 

Y: Coba kulihat. Proses reboot-nya gagal. Sudahkah kau membawanya ke pusat layanan?

 

X: Tidak, aku baru mengetahuinya pagi ini. Apakah masalahnya serius?

 

Y: Aku tidak yakin. Kenapa tidak kau bawa dulu saja komputernya ke pusat layanan karena kita tidak bisa mengetahui masalahnya dengan mudah.

 

X: Ya, kau benar.

 

Dialogue 2

 

X: My computer is broken. Can you help me?

 

Y: What’s going on?

 

X: I updated my computer and the power went out when it was updating. Now it keeps saying to restart my computer to finish the updates.

 

Y: And then?

 

X: Every time I do it, it just keeps popping up with the same messages.

 

Y: I think I can fix it. We have to repeat this process a few times  until we see the ‘Automatic Repair’ screen. And then select ‘troubleshoot’ and ‘refresh your PC’.

 

X: Really? That’s awesome! Thank you!

 

Terjemahan

 

X: Komputerku rusak. Bisakah kau membantuku?

 

Y: Ada apa?

 

X: Aku memperbarui komputerku dan ia mati ketika sedang memperbarui. Sekarang komputerku terus memerintahkan untuk me-restart komputer untuk menyelesaikan pembaruannya.

 

Y: Lalu?

 

X: Setiap aku melakukannya, komputer terus memunculkan pesan yang sama.

 

Y: Sepertinya aku bisa memperbaikinya. Kita harus mengulai proses ini beberapa kali sampai kita melihat layar ‘Automatic Repair’. Kemudian pilih ‘troubleshoot’ dan ‘refresh your PC’.

 

X: Betulkah? Hebat sekali! Terima kasih!

 

B. MY COMPUTER HAS A VIRUS

 

Dialogue 1

 

X: Hey, do you know what happen to my computer?

 

Y: What’s wrong with it?

 

X: I’m not sure. It looks like my computer has a virus. I clicked on a spam email and this pop-up message appears.

 

Y: Did you install an antivirus software?

 

X: Yes, I did.

 

Y: It’s easy, then. You can do it yourself. Just open the antivirus and run a virus scanner.

 

X: That’s pretty easy. Thanks!

 

Terjemahan

 

X: Hei, apa kau tahu apa yang terjadi pada komputerku?

 

Y: Ada apa dengan komputermu?
